My name is Renee Cunningham and I am a family therapist trained to help individuals, couples,
children and families.
All therapists have a "lens" that they look through in understanding and treating the human condition. My
training is in helping families in particular, and the subsets of families specifically.
Throughout my professional life I have been fascinated by how the human heart heals from life's traumas.
The longer I practice and the deeper I journey into the depths of the human soul, the more I learn about
the unique and mystical nature of healing. And in working with clients I honor this process fully.
When one is in distress, whether from a life's crisis or a natural transition, the symptoms of depression and
anxiety usually show themselves as an false answer to one's dilemma in life. Sometimes these symptoms
show up so suddenly that they can be seen as a "wake up call." One's inner landscape is in disharmony with
the outside world. This is a time when therapy is necessary and when healing is most optimal.
In recent years I have realized that one's full potential can be utilized best through the implementation of
Jungian Analytical Psychology. The concept of individuation, or the realization of one's potential, is at the
core of Jungian theory. This process is activated in psychotherapy by honoring one's "whole" nature.
There are many constructs to analytical psychology which are connected to modern science and medicine.
The concepts are verifiable and sound.
